Indications:

• Bacterial meningitis
• Community acquired pneumonia
• Hospital acquired pneumonia
• Acute otitis media
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Complicated urinary tract infections (pyelonephritis)
• Infections of bone and joints
• Complicated skin and soft tissue infections
• Gonorrhea
• Syphilis
• Bacterial endocarditis

Tro-Ceftriax also may be used during the treatment of the following diseases:

• Exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in adults
• Lyme disease
• Preoperative prevention of surgical site infections
• Neutropenia, which is associated with bacterial infection
• Bacteremia

Usage: According to a doctor prescription.

 

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone or to any others cephalosporins. Premature infants under 41 weeks. Full-term infants under the age of 28 days, with hyperbilirubinemia․

 

Packing: Powder for injection in a vial. 50 vials in a cardboard box, along with leaflet.

Storage:  Store at temperature below 25 °C, in a dry, dark place. Solution should be used immediately after preparation.

Shelf life: 3 years.
