Indications:
Prefetal is a multi-vitamin/multi-mineral product, indicated for women of child-bearing age that are intending to become pregnant, are already pregnant or are lactating. It is intended to cover the increased needs for vitamins, minerals, trace elements in those particular periods, in order to provide protection against embryonal neural tube diseases of the foetus, and for the prophylaxis of iron and folic acid anemia during pregnancy.

Dosage and administration:
Adults/women of child-bearing age, pregnant and lactating women, women intending to become pregnant: one film-coated tablet per day in the morning with breakfast and some liquid.
Pediatric population: Prefetal should not be used in children.
Method of administration: To be swallowed with a glass of water (or some liquid) during breakfast.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients
- Concomitant intake of vitamin D preparations, hypervitaminosis D, or renal insufficiency
- Hypercalcaemia, hypercalcuria, calcium based kidney stones, or megaloblastic anaemia
- This product should not be taken by patients with iron overload conditions or with problems handling iron (e.g. haemochromatosis, thalassaemia, sideroblastic anaemia)
- The product is contraindicated in case of manifest hyperthyroidism.
Undesirable effects:
Immune system disorders - hypersensitivity
Gastrointestinal disorders - gastrointestinal intolerance (such as abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting).
Packaging: Available in pharmacies without medical prescription in bottle of 30 film coated tablets.
Shelf-life: 36 months.
Storage conditions: Store the bottle at room temperature (15°-25°C) and out of the reach of children.
