Amikaton 500mg/2ml - Amikacin
Composition: In 1 vial – Amikacin 500mg.
Pharmacotherapeutic group: Broad spectrum antibiotic, aminoglycoside.
Indications: Amikacin injection is used for serious bacterial infections:
- Septicemia
- Upper respiratory tract infections
- Bones and joints infections (including osteomielitis)
- CNS infections (including meningitis)
- Bacterial endocarditis
- Skin and soft tissue pyogenic infections
- Abdominal infections (including peritonitis)
- Biliary tract infections
- Wound infections
- Postoperative infections
- Complicated and recurrent UTIs or uncomplicated UTIs not susceptible to other antibiotics

- Impaired renal function and diminished glomerular filtration
- Pregnancy and lactation.
Storage: Store below 30oC, in the original package. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
Packing: Solution for injection in a vial. 10 vials in a cardboard box along with a leaflet.
